Quiet Period

Yes, the blogging has slowed down. But I am adding to Twitter and Instagram most days. Trying to do "365 photos".

Finally the sun has come out and we are getting a great weekend. I feel lots of gardening needs to be done.

I have many seedlings which need to be planted out.

I have also finished the quilt I was making. Picture here with cat trying it out.

A week off work ...
Most of our week off has been wet , with a capital W. But Friday turned out to be a nice day and we headed out.

First stop was Mottsfont House and Gardens. The house has become an art gallery as the National Trust have not been left much in the way of furnature from the last owner.

The highlight was their walled garden. Although everything was only just coming out so we missed the roses, the layout gave us some ideas.

We were buzzed by an Apatchie Gun Ship which flew over the site and quite a low level. Gee those things look really scary coming directly towards you with their single head light !!
Next we headed out to the Hillier Gardens. It is quite a large site which we had a quite fast walk round as  we only had 2 hrs of their opening time left of the day. The site has many sculptures just waiting to be found.

The rest of our week at home has been about getting a few odd jobs completed, getting hair cut (mine is quite short now), working on art projects or train projects. We did head out for a meal together one evening as it was our 14th Wedding Anniversary.
I have started to create paper scrapbook pages. I have used scrapbook supplies for art pieces for a while now , but suddenly felt like being able to show all our photos off ... Plus it was nice to do something a little simplier , add journaling and have a completed project. Also helped that I had my Gilmour Girl DVD running too.
So far been putting a friendship book together with pages on all my friends.  It is quite comforting to look at the pictures as so many friends live at a distance so I do not get to see or hear from them much. I know we are all in the digital world, but kind of miss looking at pictures. Been thinking about this since last week when at Caro's house & we were looking though pictures of her kids for the art project.
I am thinking of starting to put a 'book of us' together so looking at Hubby and me, starting at 2010 when we moved to our current house. Create the pages as I am ready or have pictures printed or find the right background paper. I may go back before 2010 and look at holidays too.
I joined PaperClipping and have started to watch the videos which are avilable.

Beltane Blessings ...

"It is Beltane! The Earth softens under the caress of the sun and all the world is new. We emerge from the darkness of a long, difficult winter; our eyes drink in rolling green hills budding branches and tender shoots. We breathe deeply the fresh fragrance of radiant blossoms. Merriment calls!”

– Selena Fox, Circle Sanctuary

The wheel of the year turns and we are ready to face the next period.
