A Hardanger Week

Well the title really sums up this week. First I finished the last tree ornament from the 2007 Just Cross Stitch Mag. This one took ages as I run out of the silk used for the kloster blocks. YES silk. This must be one of the most expensives ones I have made this year.

But it was worth it. The final piece (above) is wonderful. Now do I keep this or give it away ??

I also finished a cushion front also in hardanger which will become a yule gift. So Shhh ... no telling.
Here is a close up of the pattern. I found the pattern in a magazine I bought in Trier, Germany. It was fun to make although I think I might be hardangered out !!!

=( Friday I should have been going to London to joining my friend L at the V&A to hear a talk by Kaffe Fassett. But woke with a streaming cold and never left the sofa. Saturday, turned into a blocked nose, and chesty cough which has me wheezing as if I am having an asthma attacked. More of the same today.
I have started a yuletide mantel piece hanging using the small country hearts I have used before. Plus the current issue of Thr3fold arrived so I have had time to read and watch !!
