Let there be Snow .....
.... and Tim Holtz 12 Xmas Tags !

Woke on Wednesday morning to a thick layer of SNOW ! Living on the south downs the views have been amazing ! I ended up working at home all week. Between have a terrible cold over last weekend and into this week... then the snow reduced my transport options and hubby getting the same cold too !!! Was magical ... Been out each day feed the birds , both wild and domestic.
Here a few images to share with you all. No chickens in the snow, they were not up for venturing out !

There is a willow standing outside in view of the kichen window. This is where the bird feeders hang. There is a group of around 20 birds who we call the raiders. They are very organised. Two sit on the feeder pushing the food out and the rest hop round the ground eating it up !!

It must be December as Tim Holtz has started his 12 days of Xmas Tags ... http://www.timholtz.typepad.com/
This year I have started to try to make a set where I can. We up to day 5 now ... But yesterday I make day 1,3 and 4 ... You'll also note that mine are not tags. Well as I don't have any tags the right size I am making 12 cards !

DAY4

DAY3

DAY1
Sizzix UK have a sale on Xmas items. Well at 80% off why would you fight it ... Yesterday the following arrived. The JOY shakers is great. I do not yet have the snowman or decorations which you see it used with normally... But looking forward to getting other words !

The textures are great. I think the snow man is my fav =)

AND Finally . . .
We have started to decorate with all the Yule decorations. The house is larger and I have used all our decoration just in the living room. The rest of the house is still being sorted, I guess next year I will be looking to top up the boxes of decorations. We just have the tree to put up now.

Hello Zoƫ,
good noon ( it's 12.08 here...) :)
Such nice snow photos! We have had snow too and the whole country had problems with huge carfiles and we only had about 1,8 inch snow !!!
It took me 1 hour and a quarter to get to school on thursday : a ride that mostly take me about 15 minutes...
I hate to have to drive the car in the snow, but I do like it when everyone is safe at home :)
I feed the birds too , but I don't have "raiders" in my garden ! Your story made me smile !
I have Tim's tagdie : do you want me to cut some and send them your way ? I also have the snowflake edgedie, townscape, iron gate,... I could send you some cutouts to use.
It's great to see you make cards, when you don't have tags, although I think tags are easier to "fill" than cards...
Your cards came out great although I miss some more embellisments on day one and day four.
Day 3 looks complete : a filled background, lots of embellisments. A real wintery card !
Ha, nice to see the goodies you ordered at sizzix ! When you mentioned this I ordered the rickety house and I'm glad I did !!
I also like the cut out of "joy", but I didn't bought it. When I make things for people from here they love to have words in Dutch, so I think I wouldn't use it very much. But it's still a wonderful effect, also on a label !
Christmas decorations are not up yet. We wait after the birthday of Saint Nicolas who brings presents for the children. That's tomorrow 6 december. After that, holidaydecorations come in !
I just made tag 5 and it's drying now. This afternoon I blog about my 5 tags. Maybe you get inspired to make tag 2 ? ...:)
greetings from Belgium
Inge
Beautiful snow photos! I love your Tags :-) I browsed through your blog and see you have chickens...I also have chickens (45 of them) and ducks (8 that are spoiled rotten LOL).
Great cards! I have been working on my tags for the first time today but don't have any finished yet.
Beautiful views too.
