Following a comment from a friend about cutting fabric with the big shot, I got to thinking about making the Artful Dwellings in fabric. Wow, this came well. I cut out pellet vilyn to give strength in the center. The back has black felt.
First stitching round the outside of each house with a zigzag that goes over the edge. This held the three layers together before I started to add embellishments. Having fabric means the houses could be slip stitched together. Without any additional support the row stands. Quite pleased how these came out.

I love it! I need to controlle myself not to run to a quilt store to grab some fabric.
Thanks for sharing Zoe!
Oh, so cute! I love the houses with lots of embellishments. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous art with us. Blessings, denie :D
Oh, these are awesome! I wish I could see and feel them up close and personal. I have a 'fabric store' in my basement. I think I need to try this. Don't have the artful dwellings die, but I have another (can't think of the name) that will work, or I can use my scissors.
This is gorgeous! I love the fabric choices also, very clever. ~Diane
Beautiful! Love the butterfly cut into the right panel... so clever!
Oh wow Zoƫ !
this is perfect for you : combining the Tim stuff with your fabric ! Just a start for more I guess..
Did you cut out the butterfly with a mover and shaper ?
Did you stitch around it to keep the layers together or does it sticks with the pellet vilyn ( still haven't found something like that here in Belgium)
greetings from belgium

These are super cool! I'm not a quilter but that's what they remind me of.
