Margaret - The Art Doll

Spent Saturday making an art doll fairy. After reading an article in Quilting Arts, I thought I would have ago. They had provided a pattern and I went from there.

Created her hair from hand dyed wool and made a beaded head dress like my wedding crown.

Her dress is covered in beads , the wings have a layer of green chiffon over a cream glittery fabric then machine embroidered with circles.

I wonder about making the wings out of wire and chiffon with machine lace ! I think I wamt to pad the body and add clothing !!

DH named her after his Aunt as, like his Aunt ,she has a Bohemian feeling about her.
