A glimse at my studio

I thought you might like to see where I stitch. The room also has to double as a guest bedroom. Hence the day bed. What you cannot see is that there are three deep draws under the bed. Plus, the lower part pulls out and can turn this into a double bed !!

DH likes to use this room in the evenings if he has his Laptop out.Normally you will find the cat on the window sill checkout the back garden. She has also found that she can get out via a series of lower roofs directly into the garden from this window. Some evenings when its cooler you'll be sitting in the room and a small meow can be heard .. there is Pippi at the window looking confused that the window was not open !

The dummy is generally used for displaying items as I have not done any serious dress making for years.. not since starting my C&G course. The photo printer/photo copier takes a large amount of room but its too useful to loose.

The area for my machine is very compact and you have to be careful of the fish tank. The fish are DH's and although I like them, there are times when I think that the space they fill could have been used for a second chest of draws .. Never mind ... They are fun to watch.

So that is my studio ... gets a little crowded when DH and the cat join me!

A few weeks ago - i told you all about some interested yarm - Da Masi which I was trying to work out what to do with it. Well strangly the latest issue of Stitch arrived on Friday - and they had a pattern for creating a scarf ing Da Masi and machine stitching !!! So yesterday I made one ! Above is a close up , with the whoel scarf below !

Its not come out too bad. In fact doing it this way, you could make a few from a single ball of the yarn.

Also been working on two pin cushions. One is for an exchange with a Textile Group, the other is to become a gift. Once they have been handed out I will share a photo or two.

Last night DH took me for a birthday meal .. OK so my birthday is not until Monday, but this was the closest Saturday =) We had a nice evening at pizza express. Monday I am off to a retirement meal with work so will be home late. Well I hope I am as they are doing engineering work again this weekend, so at the moment there is only a bus service. Last week they did this and on the Monday the trains did not start until 9am.. luckly I caught a lift down the line with someone from the village !
