Stitching Update and Gifts

The other two orniments from the friend exchange arrived this week. This first one from C.
And this one from M!! As M couldnot find the right noise for the snowman she made this one from fimo =)
After finally finding my water soluable paper, made cast from a moulding I bought at B&Q.
I felt this would make a great piece of embroidery. Mixed with velvet and gold thread to create a bookcover.
Made the back with leaf stampers and added the words "Take only memories , Leave only footprints". Used charcole pencil to create the path drawing then covered in medium to seal. I was planning to give this to a friend although I am now not sure he will like it !! May make a second. Begining to wonder if the manic lines running away from the oak leaves make sense !?!?!
On the pages inside I have stitched a grass border. It is repeated in the cover.

Now an update on the Wedding UFO ! Getting though the confetti stitching for the border.

Next question - should I start a new project on New Years ??
