I having working on making a huge pile of small squares which will become a quilt. You can see the final outcome in the second picture, which is from Mollie Makes issue 10. The original is made from Rooster Almerino DK but after working out the cost it would have been 250 pounds. It sell in 59g balls. Eek !!
Instead I found a Stylecraft brand called life prints which is DK but sold in 100g balls. So the whole quilt will be a more reasonable 56pounds.

wow, you engaged on a huge task !
This will take you looooots of hours to complete, but I bet it will look stunning when finished.
It's also something you can take with you on the train to London !
While sitting on the train you can make som squares and assemble them at home later.
