While shopping for wool in Wales found this yarn - called Da Masi. It come in balls of 30m length and generally costs £5 ... but wow ... Not sure these pictures will really show the yarn at its best !
My first thought was to use this for some creative embroidery ... Could just see this mixed with other yarns for a background.
Tested it out knitting on 8mm needles (above) and 4mm needles (below)The 8mm came out the best. Can see this used to make a bag. But the patterns I have want 500m of yarn - which would mean 16 balls of wool => £80. EEEKkkkkk ... Most yarn comes in balls of 100m length !!! I guess its time to mix it in with other yarn and create a stripped bag!

That is goegous wool, its like a painting on its own, which is why I'm sure it pricy..but as a centre piece on a bag it would be stunning. Good luck with it, will look forward to see what you do with it..
