Thank you and time to be creative

A lovely surprise arrived in the mail yesterday - a fabric card and two tags from LaRinda.

THANK YOU, its lovely .... !
Shame everyone else can not see the textures and colours.
The photo does not do it justice.

Yesterday spent a little time being creative with some of the supplies from York.
First I used some of the cat and fish fabrics to created a pieced quilted cushion. The aim was for this to be used on the day bed in my studio. Generally I have hand embroidered ones but DH often uses the day bed to work on his laptop, he'll pile the cushions up and they get mangled. So OK he is using them but I wanted one where the stitching would not come out.

I may hand quilt round the cat at some point. I did take a photo copy of the central cat fora future project that is in my mind.

Next I started to play with the season/yule ribbons. I have bought a length of snowman images thinking I could make cards or tree ornaments. Well these are my first two cards. I am still thinking about how to attach them to the card. Planning to try machine stitching on the first and glue on the second and see how they come out.
