Good weekend ...

Took Friday off work , always a good start, and met Aunt M in London. Lunch and a good long chat at the Crypt .... followed by the OPUS Pathways Textile exhibition. Some great work there. Good to walk round with someone else... Sorry no cameras allowed so can not share any pics with you all ! =(

Saturday became a bitty day. Shopping in the morning with DH then an afternoon of odd jobs round the house and garden. Helped DH install a set of lights for the water feature (old sink and fountain) which were made to look like rocks ... The cable for the fountain alread ran though a tunk under the gravel. We have left a plastic string running though too so that when we had a second electrical item it would be easier to feed through ..... HOW WORNG CAN YOU BE ... The plastic rope/string was not as tough as we hoped after being out there for two seasons, so as the new cable was half way through the rope broke .... =( Grrr
Thus had to tie the original cable up with new rope and pull it one way then pull both cables back ... =)
On the positive side the area looks real pretty now once th sun goes in !

Sunday - the weather changed... Rained most of the morning. Thus DH and I ended up in my studio/study working on different projects. Since I had a new day bed installed DH likes to sit there when he is working on the laptop.
The day was quite productive made three ATC for a paper craft exchange and nine ATC for a textile exchange. It looks like I am only going to need 7 for the exchange, thus two to share with other friends.

Also dug out the threads for a friendship square - this is going towards a friends quilt. Sorted out the fabric and threads for a round robin ... it doe snot start until Oct - but this gives me time to get the border stitched !
