The Wedding party increases !

After having a long chat with my friend J, I was saying how it would be nice to make the rest of the wedding party as art doll. So what's stopping you said J ???

So spent yesterday afternoon working on the groom. At first I was only looking at black fabrics to create the main body, but then started to play with purple as well.

Bingo... I think it really works. As before the face comes from the original and was a transfered onto the fabric. This caused a little problem as the face had to be ironed onto white , while the body had to be black !!!

I have tried a different method for attaching the arms. Not bad.. needs a little work.

The flower was originally going to be embroidered, but then I found this flower and I liked snaking the stem down the body.

Again I have tied the buttons down his front.

So welcome Walter and Maud.
"Walter hoped that married life would mean Maud would find a more conservative approach to fashion "

I have added an extra picture so you can see the back of them both.

This week has been quite busy. Met up with a friend after work on Tuesday for a few drinks. It was great to catch up.

Yesterday morning met up with J to go down to Portsmouth to see a Guild textile exhibtion. Great morning out !

Had a few surprises in the mail yesterday - two ATC from a C&G exchange... Once all the ATCs have arrived I will add a photo =)

Plus a package from my seasonal sister exchange =)
