As DH had taken over the TV from 12pm to watch motor racing I thought I would try creating an Art Doll of Inspiration which I have been thinking about for a while. This also allowed me to use some of my favourite type of colours.
The body was created with layers of blue and few purple pieces of fabric machine stitched down with a variogated blue thread. The legs and arms come from a hand dyed piece of fabric. The face comes from a sun & moon piece of fabric...

The skirt is layers of fabric , ribbon and buttons. Much like the bride art doll - See Sunday part1 ... Although these pictures do not make it very clear the cream fabric has different words written along it ; Inspiration, Colour etc etc ... The ribbon is a purple varigated dyed silk ribbon. I really like this different shape for the dolls. Need to think of other ways to create faces.
Finally, over Sunday/Monday I stitched this small piece. The chart and charms werebought over in the States last year .. But last Sunday I found myself with a larg number of photos to print off. So while I waited for the printer I thought I would kit this up , but in the end started to stitch it ... Finished off on the train on Monday morning. The charms are great, although right now I am not sure what I am going to do with this. Might make a small cushion ... although at the moment it will live in my finished box.
