Stitching HD and day out for my Sister

Saturday met my sister M in London. While I waited for her arrival I visited a textile exhibition in the Mall Galleries . This contained work from a group of degree graduates. The work was very good but saddly I could not take pictures to share with you all !

When I met M we started with lunch at the Crypt Cafe in St Martin in theField ...Very good food as ever.

Next we walked on to Covent Garden. Introduced M to the bead store. We spent ages there . Key find for me was these storage boxes for beads. They are very like the metal tin watch maker cases but you can see what you have. Also the pots all have a screw top which makes life easier. I have transfered ALL my beads to these boxes from the tin versions. Now I need another couple to place all the beads I have still in packets. You can place small stickers on the base of the pots with the Mill Hill bead numbers and they are clearly visable.

My sister then came home to join DH & I at the theartre to see a musical =) ... Excellent evening out !

Also on Friday I finished a smallish pin cushion. The pattern came frommy Canadian friend M who I met up with for lunch on Monday. M was on the last few days of her visit to the UK and met with a few friends in London !!!

My friend Z, pointed me to a french web site on how to make these shaped cushions =)
